Recently, studios have been working extremely hard to collaborate with Marvel to launch individual game projects which the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man is a testament to. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is also being developed by Insomniac Games, but at the same time, this studio is racing against time to rush to perfect Marvel’s Wolverine – this hero’s own game.

Announced at the PlayStation Showcase 2021 event, Marvel’s Wolverine at that time drew a lot of attention, even though Sony only delivered relatively limited announcements, not even showing the commercials ( trailer) of the game as usual. Recently, a 53-second clip of Marvel’s Wolverine appeared, giving players a full view of the project. Ryan Schneider himself – the head of Insomniac Games also admitted, the plot of Marvel’s Wolverine will be highly independent, with little appearance of other superheroes.

While there have been some positive announcements about the project’s development phase, the official release date of Marvel’s Wolverine has not been set. With Insomniac Games focusing on developing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, it is likely that Marvel’s Wolverine will only be able to launch in the third quarter of 2023. This is necessary, considering the context that Microsoft – for Sony’s biggest player has scheduled to launch several new game franchises after acquiring Activision Blizzard next year.
