Blizzard Learning Lessons From Diablo Immortal Closed Beta

Blizzard has posted a new blog that explains some of the lessons that it’s learned from the Diablo Immortal closed beta. It’s pretty long, but you can click here to give it a read. We’re going to sum up the most interesting points below.

For starters, one of the big things in the blog post concerns the MMO-ness of the game. Plenty of players had suggestions about how the multiplayer should be better folded into the experience.

There are updates about the eight player raid mode – called the Helliquary – and how there are some massive difficulty spikes that need tweaking as well.

Elsewhere the blog post discusses IAPs and the battlepass system, and how Legendary Gems can mess-up alt play, with a promise of a re-think and a fix.

Then there’s some stuff about controllers, and how more devices will be supported when the game launches worldwide. Which is always nice, eh? There’s going to be an overhaul of the Cycle of Strife and World Paragon systems too.

So, to summarize the summary – Blizzard is doing some more work on Diablo Immortal based on the feedback it’s got during the Closed Beta. Which is good. But also means we’re probably going to have to wait even longer for the global launch. Which is inevitable.
