You’re playing a knight with a sword that’s so huge, you can only swing it if you move at the same time. You need to swipe your way through hordes of enemies, tapping to stomp as well.
As you fight you’ll unlock in-game upgrades that can alter the way you play. Apparently there are going to be 1000’s of different combinations, which is a lot of combinations. Here’s a trailer.
Like all of Barrett’s games, Ultra Blade looks gorgeous. You can imagine playing it on a Mega Drive. Or watching someone else play it on a Mega Drive. Wait. A Genesis, that’s what they were called where you’re probably from.
There are six different biomes to fight through and loads of mutating enemies to hack down. You can play an endless mode, or take on challenges that refresh every hour.
Ultra Blade is set to land on the Play Store later this year. When it does it’ll be a premium game that’ll set you back $3.99. We’ll let you know when we hear a release date. In the meantime, click here to check out the game’s official website.
